Calling All Rodders,
It may be snowing and blowing outside but we can still have a car show in good ole Erie, PA.
This weekend the Bayfront Convention Center was the place to be if you are interested in cars.
Not only did you get to see and check out the new cars in the area in the comfort of the warm building, but this year they even had some of our favorites from the past on display.
Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Sports Cars, Hybrids, 4x4 Trucks, Suv's, Concept Cars of the future, You name it seems it was there for your enjoyment. They did a great job in finding a way to beat the winter weather. The people in charge of this event did a great job keep up the good work. Spring is coming!!!
See ya the next car event.

How do I start my own car show event?
Calling All Rodders,
I have been getting a few questions from you on how to set up your own car event.I have worked with,in the past a few different car clubs, helping in the planning of a car show.
First of All.....Deciding to have a car event is the easy part!!
1. IT"S A LOT OF WORK!
2. You need people to help.
3. You need to decide on a central location.
4. If a park or public setting you will need to check with the authority and make sure they have the insurance and event permits for you to be able to do this. Most public places want you to carry your own liability insurance.
5. If you are doing this show for a particular club or organization you will need to list that on your information and have their permission to use their name.
6. You will need a date and time and fees if any, decided on.
7. You will need to decide weather or not you want a judged show or not. If judged you will need knowledgeable people to be on that committee.
8. You will need to have people to park your spectators and car participants.
9. Are you going to have vendors?
10. Are you going to have food?
11. Are you going to have dash plaques?
12. Are you going to have prizes?
13. Is there a rain date?
14. What type of car is invited to this show?
15. Make sure your information is accurate before printing.
16. Print ALOT OF FLIERS
17. Send everyone you know out with your fliers and go to every event you can get to and pass out fliers to other car owners. (MAKE SURE YOU SENT ME ONE FOR THE WEBSITE)
18. Hope for a sunny day and get ready to work your tail off!!
As, I said before it is a lot of work, they are a lot of fun and you meet a great bunch of people. Many will become Friends for life. The people who take the time to organize and promote car events are dedicated car enthusiasts who enjoy being with the public. Make sure you thank them next time you attend a car event.

Happy New Year 2009
Calling All Rodders,
Hi Cruisers.. It's January 2009 already!! I have started to get new information for the events page in 2009. The planning has begun and the cruises and shows are getting scheduled. So, get those winter projects started and finished because it will be time to drive and have fun sooner than we think!!
Don't forget to get your information to me so it can get listed on the event page for the 2009 season. It looks like it will be another busy season. I can't wait to get it started.
I will be contacting some of the local clubs that listed last year in hopes that they have their 2009 scheduled put together by now. If you know of anyone who would like to list please pass along my website name and contact information to them so they can get a spot on the schedule also. I will be listing free these events they do not have to have a membership to get their date listed. My goal is to have a complete, informative list up asap.
Thank you for your support.. Annette

2009 Car Event Season in the Erie area.
Calling All Rodders,
Have you looked outside it is snowing! It 's that time of year when we all crawl into the garage and start those winter restoration projects. I hope you all have plenty of ideas to keep you busy and make the winter months go by quickly.
I have already started to get dates for the 2009 car event season coming in. Club members please don't forget to get me your contact information..to list on the club listing page. Send your car events to me and get them listed quickly. A lot of people plan their car events around vacations and traveling.
I am excited about getting the site ready for the 2009 season. I would welcome any ideas or comments about how I could improve the web site for you. I know everyone is using the event schedule page but the directory itself does not seem to be catching on, So your comments are welcome.
Keep working on those surprise restoration projects ...we can't wait to see you in the spring!!

Peak n Peak Clymer NY
Calling All Rodders,
It is October and the day a sunny 80 degrees at the Peak. The count on the cars at this years car show was 650 but I am sure there were many more than that. They were lined up every where on the Peak n Peak grounds today. The tree lines were beautiful as the fall colors exploded across the fields.
They had crafts for the ladies and pumpkin launchers for the spectators , a petting zoo for the kids, and cars, cars, and more cars for the guys to see.
There is one more show of the season coming up next weekend. The Fall Fest at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Wattsburg, PA They are having the show during the day followed by a sock hop in the evening you can get more information on the http://www.callingallrodders.com/ site under the event page.
Hope to see you there. Keep Cruizin...
