Calling All Rodders,Today we headed up to Gainseville Raceway, to attend the Gator Nationals. The weather was a bit iffy but we took a chance and went anyways. What a great experience. Drag racing is awesome because you can get up close and personal with the teams drivers and cars. Autographs and conversations are as close as your hand. The smell of nitro is in the air, the noise is deafen, but it is soooo cool! Today was qualifying for the big show on Sunday. They bring in Pro stock motorcycles, and Pro-stock cars and Funny cars and Top fuelers, and the speeds these guys are going is unbelievable.
The Raceway is also filled with vendors. Parts galore are at your disposal. Today the highlight of our day was John Force and Robert Hights and Bid Daddy Don. And the burning of our eyes when the started up John Force's car at the trailer!! As the air was filled with Nitro. That's how close you are to the action. The weather held out and we got most of the day in before the rain came. It was a good day!
