Vintage Pin Up Photo shoot fun!

Calling All Rodders,
Today's adventure brought us to the Sunset Drive In ,  in Waterford, PA.  Something I have always wanted to do is have Vintage pictures taken with the car.  So with my husbands birthday in mind I met up with local photographer, Penny Shaut.  You may have seen some of her work on my calling all rodders  fan page on facebook.  She is awesome and puts you right at ease... so we were off and running, playing with props and finding just the right shot.  Here are a few sample shots from today.  If you would like to have your own vintage shoot , contact Penny@ www.pennyshaut.com   She has just started to add this line to her portfolio's and is very eager to get you your own set of Vintage Pin-Up shots!   Live alittle have some fun

Welcome Back Cruise the Bay 2012

Welcome to season 2012
Tony from Tasty Twist
our new food vendor.
Calling All Rodders,

From Jack & Judy Miller a quick note:

After 7 years of faithful service to Cruise the Bay and all our cruisers, The Weenie Wagon has retired from the food business, we will miss them and their tasty treats.  Retiring also this year is our trophy maker extraordinaire, Jack's Dad John Miller of Pittsburgh, PA we will miss his unique and whimsical trophies.

Working with us once a month last year, we now welcome Tony Theil and Tasty Twist food trailer as our weekly food vendor.  Tony will be serving up all the traditional food vending fare- as well as Lake Erie Perch, French Fries, Italian Sausage and of course every ones favorite...Ice Cream! Please don't hesitate to make requests or offer suggestions to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of us.

Through the weekly 50/50 the T-shirt sale and of course the dollars raised at this years Snowflake Cruise In we hope to match or exceed our 2011 Make-A-Wish Donation of $3200.00.

We look forward to a safe, fun and hopefully dry cruise season!

Calling All Rodders,

Today was back to school days for me. My Nephew Ben Powers was presenting his class project and it was about cars! It was a nice afternoon and it is great to know that the love of cars is being passed down through the ages.

Ben Powers School Project
Parts Table
1969 Owned by Lance Proctor
1970 Owned by Colleen Surrena
1968 Owned by Rex Diemer

1979 Owned by Peter Shaffer

We all lined up at the Fort Le Bouef Foot Ball field, Ben's Class came down to learn about the racing through the years of performance cars. Ben did an awesome job at explaining the changes through the years in motors and the reasons for some of these changes. He was well informed and capture his audience attention with his great demonstration. He had asked a few of us to display our cars for him as he did his presentation. The title of his report was , "Chevy racing through the years." Ben had arranged to have a 1979 Chevy Corvette owned by Peter Shaffer, a 1968 Dodge Coronet owned by Rex Diemer, ( The Mopar car was for comparison of different muscle cars through the years not only those made by Chevrolet) a 1969 Chevy Truck owned by Lance Proctor, and a 1970 Chevy Nova owned by Colleen Surrena. Ben also had on display various motor parts for demonstration.
The class seemed very interested in his demonstration. We even had a few passer bys stop in to see what was going on. Great job Ben ! Thanks for letting us be a part of your demonstration.
